Global Research Fellowship 2026/2027
Mentorship Track | Online Fellowship Application
Before you begin
The TORG Global Research Fellowship is a 12-month international research capacity-building programme with academic teaching, structured individual mentorship, independent research, scientific writing and dissemination. Admission is competitive and depends on mentor capacity and project feasibility.
What you will need: personal and institutional details, qualifications, research experience, membership status, a proposed research topic and methodology, research access and ethics plans, resources and availability, motivation statements, CV, qualification evidence, a professional headshot and declarations. There are 11 sections.
Required reading before applying: Please open and carefully read the Fellowship Handbook and Programme Guidelines before starting this multi-section application. You will confirm that you have read them in your final declarations. View Fellowship Handbook and Programme Guidelines (PDF opens in a new tab).
Participation contribution: The Fellowship is self-sponsored and has a one-time administrative contribution for successful applicants. Your provisional contribution will be displayed in Section I. It is not collected with this application; the Directorate verifies eligibility and sends an individual invoice only after a conditional offer. This contribution supports programme coordination, administration, digital infrastructure and modest Mentor appreciation. Personal research expenses remain the applicant’s responsibility.
Applicant privacy notice: Read how your application information is handled.
Programme expectations: monthly mentor meetings and progress reports, eight academic teaching sessions, approved research project, dissertation, manuscript and presentation at the TORG Virtual Research Congress.
