The Secretary works closely with the Fellowship Director to coordinate academic activities, communications, documentation, progress monitoring and the delivery of the programme. This is an active professional service appointment requiring competence, reliability, discretion and sustained engagement—not an honorary title.

Availability for 6–8 hours monthly, with reasonable additional support for major activities, and willingness to sign and comply with the official Programme Secretary Commitment Agreement.
02 / RESPONSIBILITIES
What the role involves
Administration and documentation
Maintain records, schedules, templates, appointment documents, agendas, minutes, action logs and official correspondence; support mentor and Fellow onboarding.

Help coordinate eight cohort-wide academic sessions, orientation, presenter communications, attendance records and the Virtual Research Congress.
Directorate support
Attend meetings, document decisions, track action points, report outstanding matters and help maintain programme timelines and accountability.
The Secretary supports administrative monitoring but does not independently grade academic work, determine research outcomes or decide Fellowship completion.

The appointment requires approximately 6–8 hours per month, with reasonable additional availability during major Fellowship activities. The successful applicant must:
- Attend mandatory orientation and scheduled Directorate meetings.
- Maintain regular communication with the Fellowship Director.

Appointment does not constitute employment or guarantee future employment, financial remuneration or research authorship.
05 / RECOGNITION
Professional recognition and appreciation
Subject to satisfactory service, the appointee may receive formal recognition, opportunities for international academic engagement and professional development, and an official Certificate of Recognition and Appreciation following verified completion of responsibilities.
