Virtual Global Research Congress 2026
Join The Operating Room Global (TORG) for four Sundays of research presentations from fellows completing the One-Year Research Fellowship (Mentorship Track).
The congress showcases fellow-led research across anaesthesia, surgery, perioperative nursing, quality improvement, evidence synthesis, innovation and population health.
Research developed through mentorship. Presented to a global audience.
Fellows will present the outcomes of their research projects before an international audience, with each scientific session chaired by an experienced academic or healthcare leader.

Fellows strengthen research, writing, presentation and dissemination skills.
Projects progress toward manuscript development and broader dissemination.

This multidisciplinary session will explore the clinical management of perforated peptic ulcer from initial assessment and resuscitation through operative care, patient safety, postoperative recovery and prevention of recurrence.
Perforated Peptic Ulcer: A Surgical Emergency
Perforated peptic ulcer is a time-critical surgical emergency requiring rapid recognition, effective resuscitation, appropriate operative decision-making and coordinated postoperative care. This session follows the patient journey across each of these critical stages.
