Call for Speakers – The Operating Room Global (TORG)

The Operating Room Global Centre for Education, Research & Innovation invites clinicians, educators, researchers, innovators, and professionals across the TORG global community to serve as speakers for upcoming webinars, workshops, educational sessions, and global knowledge-sharing events.

We welcome contributions from professionals across medicine, surgery, specialty disciplines, anesthesiology, nursing, allied health, public health, research, and healthcare innovation and more. All topics relevant to advancing healthcare practice, education, and patient safety are encouraged.

Areas of Interest

Submissions are welcome across all healthcare disciplines and topics, including but not limited to:

  • Medicine and medical subspecialties
  • Surgery and surgical subspecialties
  • Anesthesiology and perioperative medicine
  • Nursing and perioperative nursing
  • Allied health professions
  • Patient safety and quality improvement
  • Operating room management and leadership
  • Global surgery and health systems strengthening
  • Surgical education and training innovations
  • Robotics, Simulation, digital health, and immersive technologies
  • Human factors and crisis management in healthcare
  • Research, audit, and evidence-based practice
  • Healthcare innovation, policy, and public health

All disciplines and professional backgrounds are welcome.

Speaker Application Requirements


Applicants should submit a single cover document with clearly labeled sub-sections containing the following information:

1. Personal and Professional Information

  • Full Name
  • Professional Title
  • Qualifications
  • Current Position
  • Institutional/Organizational Affiliation(s)

2. Professional Biography

  • Short professional bio (150-200 words)

3. Presentation Proposal

  • Proposed presentation(s) title(s)
  • Brief abstract (200-300 words)
  • Area of expertise
  • Preferred presentation format: (webinar, lecture, panel discussion, workshop).
  • Multiple presentations are welcome.

4. Affiliations and Professional Memberships

  • Academic, institutional, or organizational affiliations
  • Relevant professional societies or networks
  • Additional Required Documents

Please submit the following as separate files.

  1. Sample Presentation Material (mandatory): Provide a separate link to a sample video presentation OR
    A shared Google Drive link to a previous presentation
  2. Professional Headshot (High Resolution): Submit a separate professional headshot photograph

Why this is required:

If selected, the headshot will be used for speaker announcements, promotional materials, event programs, certificates, and official TORG communications.

Voluntary Contribution

Speaking engagements within TORG are voluntary roles, contributing to global knowledge exchange, professional collaboration, and capacity building across healthcare communities.

Recognition

Successful speakers will receive a Global Certificate of Recognition from The Operating Room Global following their presentation.
