Call for Multidisciplinary Collaborators (Co-Authorship Opportunity)
Project Title: Evaluating the Integration of Virtual Reality in Ophthalmology Surgical Training and Practice in Ireland: A Mixed-Methods Study
This is to invite multidisciplinary collaborators to join a doctoral-level, mixed-methods research project investigating the educational, clinical, and implementation impact of Virtual Reality (VR) in ophthalmology surgical training and practice in Ireland.
This project includes:
- A Systematic Literature Review
- Semi-Structured Interviews with national and international stakeholders
- A Two-Round Delphi Consensus Study
- Development of a national VR implementation framework
Who Can Apply?
We welcome expressions of interest from professionals across ophthalmology and related disciplines, including but not limited to:
- Ophthalmology Consultants & Fellows
- Higher Specialist Trainees / Residents
- Simulation & Medical Education Experts
- Theatre & Perioperative Practitioners invloved in Ophthalmology
- Orthoptists & Optometrists
- Biomedical Engineers & VR Developers
- Health Services Researchers & Policy Experts
- Data Analysts & Implementation Scientists
What Does Collaboration Involve?
Depending on expertise and interest, collaborators may:
- Contribute to study design refinement
- Support data collection and interpretation
- Participate in the Delphi expert panel
- Co-author peer-reviewed publications
- Contribute to policy and curriculum recommendations
All accepted collaborators who meet authorship criteria will be offered co-authorship in line with ICMJE standards.
Participation is voluntary and academically credited.
Geographic Scope
Ireland-focused study with international expert collaboration welcomed.
